Native colour, beautiful biodiversity
From mid-May 2026, we will conduct horticultural works to improve four memorial garden beds in the Talinga Lawn (Section H1 and H2) and Port Jackson Lawn (Section E1 and E2).
These works will include soil remediation, application of organic mulch, and replacing shrubs and plants with native and indigenous species to bring colour and create a beautiful space that will provide interest through the seasons.
More than 700 native and indigenous shrubs, wildflowers, groundcovers and grasses will be introduced to the memorial beds.
These carefully selected native plants will also support biodiversity at the site, creating habitat corridors for small birds and pollinators.
During the works, there will be limited access to these garden beds for a short period.
